A little melodromatic. After all, there have been lots of presidents less qualified for the job. Herbert Hoover for instance, or Benjamin Harrison. Yep, lots of examples out there. “…watering down the qualifications of the highest office in our republic.”

Comment on Obama wins : Conservatism Loses by Roy http://theperegrin.com/2008/11/06/obama-wins-conservatism-loses/#comment-124 Roy Thu, 06 Nov 2008 19:32:16 +0000 http://theperegrin.com/2008/11/06/obama-wins-conservatism-loses/#comment-124 Surfed over last week from Batesline. Had looked at your post re Obama's numbers not adding up. Back to see if anything more. Re present post. Back up useful. But past that bridge now as far as what already ignored. More effective imho to make predictions. Cite backup, but don't talk so much about past as about what's coming down pike. Generalized predictions, yes. But the more specific, the better. Eg of a prediction partly toward specific: Obama will sign FOCA in Jan 09. Another: Obama and Donks will reject and block any and all attempts at increasing offshore drilling. During first 6 months of office, Obama and Donks will significantly advance legality of homosexuality. Obama and Donks may not take U.S. as far as Canada or Holland, where openly opposing homosexuality gets one in trouble with state, tho I think they may before 4 yrs gone. But these leaders certainly will lay foundation for that step. Obama will certainly select a couple or more Supreme Court justices who will make rather than read law. He will exclude to the extent possible any debate about infanticide. Post your predictions. Creates documented record. Makes later evaluations significantly more credible. Comment on Tulsa’s BOK Center : Mayor Kathy Taylor Booed by Gary Lunnon http://theperegrin.com/2008/10/27/tulsa%e2%80%99s-bok-center-mayor-kathy-taylor-booed/#comment-123 Gary Lunnon Fri, 31 Oct 2008 14:22:32 +0000 http://theperegrin.com/2008/10/27/tulsa%e2%80%99s-bok-center-mayor-kathy-taylor-booed/#comment-123 Oh, I only wish that I would have been there. That must have been some love fest. But now I would be sitting on the OKC side as we moved from the mess of Tulsa this summer to OKC. We can not believe the difference in the two cities. So far we are very pleased in the move and that is from one who was raised in Tulsa, saw the school system go to the pits along with the streets and government. All I can say is good luck to the current citizens of Tulsa and I hope you get it right in the future. Oh, I only wish that I would have been there. That must have been some love fest.
